Family legend says that Rose died in childbirth. Her death certificate says acute nephritis (kidney failure). I don't know whether this could have resulted from complications of a birth.
NYS death cert. 16985, submitted by Charles A. Shiivack, M.D., of 262 Henry St., attests that she died about 8pm on 24 May 1906, at 191 Stanton St. (a tenement). She was a married 22-year-old housewife, in the U.S. 5 years. Her parents were
Cahem Friedfertig and Yettie Eichel, both of Austria. The doctor attended her 22-24 May.,
