According to Mrs. Orban, librarian in Tiszafured, and author of a small book on the Jews of T., a brush factory was built in T. in 1897 by a Mr. Blau. I speculate that Abraham was without a marketable skill, and that his in-laws, living in
Egyek, about 10km from T., suggested he and Mathilde move to T. so he could learn brushmaking and work in Mr. Blau's factory.
We have never found a record of his death, but a plaque on the Synagogue at Pasti Street in Debrecen with a list of war dead from World War I lists Adolf Wasserstrom (Adolf was his Hungarian name).
